Triumph open day day. Decided to have a ride out and meet up with some people who were going to test ride the new Triumphs. (Free coffee and cake a bonus) So while there decided to try out the new bikes myself..Had a go on a Sprint, and got to say they're a very good bike (In a Japanese way) very stable and confidence inspiring. The under seat exhausts rorty as standard..

Got a decent trade in valuation for my 10k old mile 06 Factory.. But got back on mine to ride further and got to say, loved the Aprilia more..Far more soul, faster lighter better sounding, loved it. No sale today, sorry Triumph.

I received an invite for the open day, I think they make some good looking bikes now, but I have never riden one yet. Glad your'e sticking with the Mille :thumbup

The grass is always greener on the other side .....until your on the other side :jack

:thumbup

The sad fact is, the dealer mentioned my bike being 'High Mileage' for a 2 year old bike..Especially an 'Italian' 2 year old bike! Its not unusual to see bikes at 3,4,5 plus years old with 3k miles on and loads of bling, yet if you dare to use them you're penalised financially.
Oh well at least there should be lots of nice used RSV's around when mine paggered..:biggrin

I'm putting an 05 factory back on the road, bought from a salvage auction, registered July 2005, 785 miles on it! You read that right, seven hundred and eighty-five miles!!

Have a look at ''Time machine bikes'' on ebay, the guy is called Mark who runs out of Chelmsford, who breaks Millies from his back yard. Was there at the weekend getting some more bits off him.

Very reasonable, and if you contact direct and tell him wot ya after, ya can haggle on a price bud :thumbup

Good luck with the rebuild fella :devious

It's all done, just waiting for paperwork from dvla, so hopefully soon......
