OK, I'm modding an old single sided exhaust to be a race pipe and will replace the perforated tube which carries the gasses from front to back with a straight, larger diameter with plenty of wadding, but:
What size tube for a single sided pipe?
Anyone got a 'race' pipe and can tell me to approx diameter for shop bought ones ?
I still want it to be about 104 DB max for trackdays.
The link pipe into the std can is 65mm, but surely that's too large as an exit ?
On my old SP1 , I had twin 50mm pipes (which is the equivilent of 65mm single pipe using Pi x r2 and all that)
I'm off to Rufforth autojumble on saturday to buy the perf tube , so the info would be useful
