Hi, not sure if this has been posted before, but I'm getting my local bike shop to rebuild my forks ready for Trackdays in 2014

Can anyone tell me what weight of oil and the air gap for fast group Trackdays for a 13 stone bloke ?

I'm getting reactive suspension in York to do the rear shock, He's v good, but I never found the need to do anything special with my gen1 track bike forks

Thanks in advance

61 views and no-one has set forks up for Trackdays ?
Wow

Suspension setup is unique to each person and to a certain extent track conditions, but if you are getting Reactive to setup your forks then he/they should already know what the ball park figures are.

As long as the static sag is correct you can then tweak compression and rebound to suit , I mean I am 18 stone and for track days my weight eventually ties the forks in nots so now run 10weight oil with 1.1kg springs but with rebound and compression set to 1 click above standard.

Alternatively give Griff a call at AP , he has done a whole tutorial on suspenders.

Apologies if this is not much help.

Cheers Kiwi, reactive are doing the shock, but as the forks are Ohlins I guessed if just refreshed them with the right weight of oil and change the seals myself, they should be near enough for now. I'll pay for a setup on the first Trackday with no limits.

I'll ask Reactive, Gareth might be kind enough to give me a clue
