Loads of scruffy second hand panels on ebay for next to nothing, they are stronger and fit better:thumbup

I'm doing brands in june, thinking about getting some track fairings, i was just going to get some cheap second hand ones off ebay and paint them up myself.

I'm with ARD as well - fairing & seat.

Just a word to the wise... Yes, their kit is well made, but:
  • The ARD-supplied slot-head fairing screws are paint removers - better using the OEM cap-heads;
  • My top & bottom fairings and seat required some of the holes to be elongated to fit. You need a helper for this job and someone to hold the work when you get your drill going;
  • It has no side-stand aperture - you'll need a jigsaw to cut a piece out of the belly-pan if you want to retain the side-stand;
  • No main mounts are supplied for the top fairing (no holes either) - requires Screw w/flange M6*16* AP8152246 (4-off) to attach to mirror brackets;
  • Screen holes need drilling;
  • No mounts supplied for LHS{relay*2, immobiliser control} and RHS{relay, aux. fuses, air-flap solenoid, regulator}. I'm making my own out of alloy sheet to attach to the snorkel mounts. N.B. there's no obvious place in an airflow for the regulator!
  • The seat unit is single piece and barely flexible. The shafts are grade one tank scratchers - put socks over them when mounting. Because it's one-piece, there's about a 1.5cm air gap on either side of the seat under-tray to allow fitting.

Subsequently added this mod:
  • Cut-away right-inner vent hole to cool voltage regulator.

If you take anything in...take this bit about the seat bit i learnt the hard way ...luckily i only scratched my tank behind where my carbon bits normally hide it...you tend to look behind the bike when trying to squeeze on the tail all the while the two prongs are hacking away at the paintwork of the tank (and the frame)...luckily i did b4 it was too late..:eek:

Just found out that when you buy from ARD ready painted (as opposed to paint-ready) they put barely noticeable drilling markers on the surface to simplify drilling (standard chassis & screen).

I bought from A*D last year and the service was crap to say the least. When I eventually got it it didn't fit at all well...in fact some bits (expensively) through frustration ended up in bits in the bin...seat unit had to be cut to get it on...panels didnt line up ....so for me never again....Had stuff from Race Products and was very pleased....should have stuck with them...
