Ok track day boys, I know its a track, I know you feel like you are quick, But it is sooooo tame after racing 20 others competiters in anger.. Bikes, cars or karts, racing makes track days a real bore....fD :sleepy

I've never been on a track day because I am too scared

I've been told my T has 6 gears and can travel above 70mph ... but to hell with that I'm content to use gears 1 2 3 and sometimes 4 ... and take my time.

Very true, track days are for fun, racing is for spending money, sorry I mean being competitive....

I know a fair few boys that 'think' they're quick who race..............plus I know a fair few boys track day who are quick enough to race, and they'd do well too......but you makes your choices and you takes your chances.......

The guys that really bug me are the racers that use the track days as practice days, now there's a contradiction lol

Yes you are right Zuki, but my point is, you can never get the same buzz once you stop racing. Track days are fun, and it will be the only way I will push myself on the T, you can go quick on the roads but you cant find your limits, unless you want to put others in danger. Newelly, I had you wayed up before ya post......fD

Fair enough :) ....most proper in the blood racers I know are mental lol and it takes a certain something to wanna go race and then stick at it............track days are a great place to explore your bike, and if you do find your limits and end up in the gravel you know the marshals and medics will be there in a flash :)

Have you tried base-jumping? ;)

Im about shaged these days, broke spine in 98 on a jet ski, and still carried on doing all the wrong stuff, but paying for it now...Only 20min from cadwell so will treat myself to a (boring) track day this year...daz

if you fancy a giggle get youself a supermoto and the take on the 1000cc guys at Cadwell. never had as much fun on a track as sticking up the big boys through the goose neck then keeping them behind me all the way to parks, watching them blast past then getting them back at the goose neck again, lap after lap

CTD, My mate does the same thing at Cadwell on his supermoto, and loves it. I think the T would be a handful round there. I know guys on here do it quite happily...

Well gotta say i never been racing and at the grand ole age of 50 i dont think I will ever get the chance. Been and done a few track days and can say that I enjoyed them all, even the one I didnt finish due to sever gravel rash and grating bones. For me they thrill and scare me at the same time, they get my adrenalin flowing and let me know Im a **** rider! which only makes me want to get better so I will carry on and do as many as I can in the near future.

To those that have raced, max kudos, to those that haven't i say get your arse on a track day, you wont regret it if you stay rubber side up!

Great forum by the way, just havin a little trouble keepin up with all the 'must do, mods, my list is getting bigger by the day, still lookin foward to getting back to UK and fookin my bike up with my spanners!!!!

Ride to the Ring for a weekend , the joy of touring and the thrill of a track day in a oner
I last went on my ZX12R was fun but the big old girl was a handful ,love to take my factory it’s got to be an ideal tool for the 144 corners :thumbup

I will be riding my Tuono to the TT in june, which will be an adventure in its self, then a few laps of the 38 mile course should be fun. No speed limits on real roads...cant fooookin wait.

Very much this!

I used to race an Aprilia SXV 550 supermoto in the Norasport championships - badly I might add!

However, living only 30 mins from Cadwell made it easy to get down there often enough to upset sportsbike owners on a regular basis. Even better in the wet.......used to stick in the full race wets. Had someone complain to me once that me sticking my leg out was putting him off!

Building a track only Tuono over winter so will be up at Cadwell regularly if anyone fancies meeting up?

Jon
