Got a track weekend with training at Anglesey Circuit for my birthday, any tips on what i need to do to the bike to make it safer/better prepared for the track (don't mean speed increase i just mean taking the mirrors off for example).

Also anyone cored their exhausts and know if it will be too loud for track? 103db limit =(

Looking forward to it but i'm also scared i'm gonna end up binning her!

Here in the States (at least where I've gone), they want the mirrors, headlight(s), tail light(s) & signals taped over or removed. Also make sure your chain is adjusted and you have no fluid leaks with decent tyres.

Some tips:

- Follow racing lines - obviously.
- start by finishing breaking in advance of the corners and hold your spread through them.
- As you get more familiar with the track, build up your speed.
- You can then start to gently accelerate out of the corners, using the width of the track accordingly.
- Losing the rear tyre helps increase rear grip, and reduces risk of front tyre sliding... but too much power on the exit and you can slide rear or end up high or low siding.

- Start within 80% of your capabilities, at least until your experience and confidence has increased.
- Go at the speed you are capable of handling.
- Don't follow the fellow in front, (he might be going faster than he can handle), unless you know his and your capabilities.
- The trick to fasert lap times is 'smooth riding', not erratic acceleration and braking.

- You will only crash if you don't follow the above, and try to push to the limits without knowing what you are capable of.
- That said, based on feedback of others on here, Tuono's are capable of cornering lower and faster than most riders are capable of, so you've got the right bike!!
HTH's.
