Thinking of bidding on a cheap Firestorm on ebay for a track bike. Road legal etc, ride there and hopefully ride home kind of thing.
Should I ? :eatcorn
Don't want to hurt Ollie.

Either that or get sliders for Ollie and take him to the track for some frivolity. I admit that I'm crying whenever I look at the rash on Andiamo, but holy ******* **** it was fun ripping up the track on the T!!! I wouldn't change it for a moment. I will go to the track with her again next season, but I admit that I am looking for a track bike for race school. Just need to get some $$$ together.

Rubbish track bike mate. There's a million and one better options than a Firestorm.

If you want a Twin (as i suspect) then a Mille, SV or even a Falco is a better option.

Firestrom brings lack of power, performance, handling and braking compared to any of the above.

Understand everything your saying Weeksy lad, Falco was the first option as I've had one before and rate them highly, next Rsv then maybe another T. But as it always is it comes down to ££'s. Had a big hit with the T and the cans and what not, so gotta keep the little lady sweet. The storm was just the cheapest twin option I could find. Doing Oulton and theres a noise limit so I might just put my old cans on and invest money in some decent sliders. Think I'm more worried aout the cans than the bike:yes.

Just decided the T's going. Had face down arse up bikes for ages and another Tuono for a while. Must admit to finding the sat up posture a little unusual in certain curcumstances, so what better way to get used to it than on a track ?
While I'm there hopefully get some set up advise.
Oulton Park here we come :thumbup.

hope i didn't worry ya with that first sentence:yeahright

Gonna need some mushy's, got any recomendations :yes

You coming up showing me a few tips ?

I was rubbish mate. Trust me, the last person you want tips from is me. LOL I doubt i'd even be able to keep up these days.

Depending who/when i may know an instructor or two though.

13th Oct, Oulton with Track days[focused events]. Never used them before. Been around Oulton though. Favourite bit is coming in to, going past Lodge and you can see the grand stand, you can leather it, nothing finer :thumbup
I'm a million miles from being any good but its a proper buz.

I'm so proud of you nobbie, I could spit. Ollie and u are going to have so much fun it should be illegal. I want to see pictures, mate. In the pit and on the track!! I will admit to some jealousy when it comes to you UK lads. Access to tracks like Donnington, Oulton, and Cadwell leave me green. Then weeksy has to throw in the coup de grace, "I like Jerez better". Aaaaargh. Couple this with all those nasty twisty B roads, flowing fast A roads (my personal favourite kind of riding!!) and I start to wonder why I don't just move. Thanks for letting me live vicariously thru you lads. *sigh*
