Total Bollox

Utter crap and completely misleading, don't even begin to get tempted fellas

"Turn the screw slowly clockwise (right), pumping the gas pedal after each quarter turn."

ahahaha funny stuff, i've seen that on ebay before, it probably works.. to an extent a bit like a totally pathetic power commander messes with the fuelling gives you an extra 5 bhp and 20 bloody horrible problems

i imagine insurance companies would give all their employees a paid vacation at your expense just for putting somethin like that on your bike, not to mention voided warranties etc

the shocking thing is people actually buy those and use them...

whatever floats ya boat

I have to ask, whats with the power commander comment. Never heard a ba word said about them.

i simply meant it works on a similar principle, fools with the ECU signals to get it to adjust the fuelling (in an attempt to get more power etc)

power commanders are very good at what they do and with proper setup really can work miracles on bikes

this little ebay item is a really really really cheap version on the power commander concept and probably has very limited adjustment or success

when you compare the price of the two you can see just how cheap and crappy the ebay thing is, you do get what you pay for

edit:
infact i have a feeling power commanders 'hack' directly into the ECU rather than play around with the signals being sent to it which is probably better :dunno (i think it has to do with some ECUs cant be tricked easily by messing with the signals in the wires)

Those things on eBay crop up all over the place for loads of different things, cars included.

As far as I am aware, they are basically resistors of one sort or another, that do a big fat feck all to increase performance. :devious

sounds about right to me, theres no telling exactly what the 'adjustment' to the electric signals means or does, be interesting if it told the ECU we are flying a plane with a heavy back end though some of us ride like that anyway :doug
