Hello fellow ohnoer's! I've only had jonny 5 about two weeks I've had quite a few bikes and have ridden most types n sizes of bike I'm no legend and generally go fast or inters on track dependant on how I'm feeling. My problem begins with never havin had anything with tc or awc so I have trust issues I am planning to do sent 29th July so im hoping I will be able to push and feel the aprc work if I can? It comes in on the roads but I can't say I feel it a great deal in the corner when it's working even with the light is on at this point I want to nail it n see what it does but ti be honest my brain has a (computer says nooooo) moment n I can't trust it totally! Has anyone had a similar experience and can offer any advice on....... if all will become clearer on track how far to push tc before it lets go if it does or not? Also does the anti wheelie give up on anyone else's bike mine sometimes gives up and goes verticle rapidly!that hasn't help with the trust aprc relationship!!:eek
Sorry bout the spelling n no grammar I was dicking about on field bike's during English/school!

Don't ask me ... I can't get round a simple RH ****** bend ... with a ****** cattle grid exactly where I want to start lining up ... (after) pissin ****** rain, with a ****** heavy tail pack and bald ****** tyres.

Think Newelly has a V2........ no such "newfangledgadgets".....

:)

Beesti,
I think you are asking the wrong people.

Most of us on here have the V2, that does not have such safety orientated devices.

We all have traction / anti-wheely, its called a throttle.

Additionally, without sounding disrespectful, I think I speak for many, we are not really bothered about them.

As older generation bikers, we were brought up on old style bikes & like to kid ourselves that we are riding the "raggy edge", but in reality, we are no where near the limits of bike / tyre performance, perhaps thats why we are still riding.

But in our defence, I think most of can still ride rings round most of the jap bike brigade, especially on the twistys.

Anyone can go fast in a straight line.

I have found that the traction/wheelie control works very well.
The V4 is a very sensitive motorcycle. Hitting a small pothole can cause enough of a throttle twitch to hop the front wheel, and the rear can spin easily as well
Turning the settings to higher levels And the tire doesn't spin at all and it will only wheelie a tiny bit if you are really aggressive. It also makes a huge difference on tire wear on a track day
Turn the settings to the higher levels and it will spin and wheelie progressively more. The system is very subtle. It can be hard to figure out if you made the correction or if it did it for you.
I like it as I can turn it up when I'm cruising or riding in sketchy conditions and turn it down or off when it is hooligan time, getting the best of both worlds.m TC on 2 seems to allow a lot of wheel spin but keeps it from stepping out more than a few inches.
My advice is to turn the system up and ride normally, turning it down as you get more comfortable. It doesn't take long to find settings you like

Good point Olaf. Been looking at differences between V4 & V4 APRC. Obviously price is a big factor. Today in April 2013, for £9k you could have brand new standard V4 T or a second hand V4 T with APRC. Having only test ridden the APRC I would pay for the APRC as its going to get me out of a world of trouble with 150bhp at the back wheel when I decide to be clever and whack the throttle wide open. Cdn Sport.. if your ever back on here (1 post) write se more bud. Found your one & only post interesting.
