I am about to order a fairing bolt kit from "Pro-Bolt" but am struggling to decide between Stainless and Titanium.

I am unsure if the weight saving of Titanium over the stainless is worth the £50 extra in price.

I have already ruled out the Alloy option as I have had problems with the strength of alloy bolts in the past and know they tarnish over time. Eventually I would like to replace most of the bolts I can on the bike so alloy isn't an option for some applications and I woul dlike them all to match.

Titanium will get very expensive. I think I have already talked myself into the stainless option which makes this tread pretty much pointless. :jack

Unless someone knows of anywhere else I can get a fairing bolt kit for a 2006 RSVR that is better quality or a better price? :dunno

I would be more concerned about the weight saving you could make by cutting out ya afternoon meal today!!!! worrying about a weight saving on a set of fairing bolts is not worth it......its hardly going to slow you down!!!!! Save ya self £50 and put it towards one of Hooked's air boxes.....and gain an extra 6-8BHP in the mid range. SORTED

Stainless every time mate. :thumbup

Ti bolts are not worth the extra money as Smiffy says nowt in it so save the extra wonga and buy yourself one of Hooked's air boxes and listed to that induction roar. :doug

Already have an Evo Air box thanks. I will buy Stainless and spend the £50 towards some rear sets!

+1

Weigh yourself before and after a 'digestive transit' - it helps put the issue into persepctive!

Maybe I should have mentioned strength and finish as factor with the titanium as like you have said, the weight doesn't really matter.
