I've just secured a titanium evo exhaust and was wondering if I need a chip or do I just cut the link on the back of the stock ecu introducing the second map?

theres a a63 chip on ebay, with 2hrs left, only on £6.51... there listing says that they had the titanium can but never fitted the chip as it ran fine...not sure if its the chip u want but thought id mention it :)

I seen that but the a63 chip is the stock one that's already in it, thanks for reply though :)

nps mate, did read up about it myself but there were conflicting posts so wasnt sure but thought id mention it, there is also a ecu with a ti chip already fitted, think they want £120 for it..

I've got the evo ti exhaust running on standard chip, second map with pipercross filter and it runs sweet. It seems to fuel much better than the standard can which had the baffles removed. It idles well and is crisp and responsive. I've heard people mention that the ti chip makes the bike run fairly rich?

That's great to know, I was going to try this anyway as I've seen a couple of posts saying they still run stock chips, what exactly needs done to get the second map? I've read before that a cable need cut, i think I'll introduce a switch so I could switch between them and see the difference

Im at work so haven,t got access to the bike to tell you which wire to cut but do a google search and you'll probably find a post with pictures on either this site or af1. Im pretty sure it's a dark blue wire which is on the large multi plug for the ecu. I'd be surprised if it's not already cut. You just need to make sure you wire ends are insulated properly when you're done.

Pm drrossi on here with the details of your bike, he'll sort you out one of his chips. They are brilliant, made my '01 rsvr feel like a different bike. Then get your CO levels checked/balanced by a mechanic who knows what he's doing, again this will make a huge difference.
There's loads of posts on here reviewing the drrossi chips
