hi all
can someone help me, i have a 05 rsvr, the problem is it seems to want to stale when i pull in the clutch, its as if the revs fall to low at tickover,it does stale if it is cold first thing, but will still do it when warm! is there a way to increase the tickover a touch, it ticks over at about 1250 -1350 is this he norm, i would be grateful for any advice thanks

Should be an idle adjuster somewhere, that idle sounds high enough though? When were the plugs last changed?

The idle on the gen2 bike is set by the ecu and can't be addjusted manualy. Check all air pipes for splits, we had a very similar problem caused by a small air leak, also get your throttle bodies set up.

Hi busman
I had a similar problem when I first bought my Gen2 RSV.
As I approached junctions it would occasionally stall.
I took it to Griff at Aprilia Performance, who updated my ECU to the latest version and balanced my throttle bodies.
It now runs beautifully.

if we can help Busman then just give us a call..the usual situation for youor issue is as the say buddy ... sound like a tune up required!

just got the bike so a bit skint at moment but as soon as funds allow its tune up time, where are you based and do you ever come to manchester on your travels, i have been on rsv.net and your work is highly regarded by fellow aprilia owners.
