I know it got banged in that wipe out in the rain however I just don't get it. The spool for the cables seems fine it either moves off to the side or the rubber piece on the end of the return cable rubs on the spool! i just don't get it I filed the darn bar and it helped a little now i can put the throttle back however it just doesn't go half more inch! I works and the throttle returns when it is sticking out to the side half inch but when you push it it doesn't I assumed it could be bent but it just looks so smooth like a babys butt however it's covered with **** now after all the filing. lol what's wrong i want to remove the rubber piece which is in the throttle spool on the handle to test it. what should I do?

P.S. it's an ingenious idea to have a fly by wire cable on the throttle! if the throttle fails you can close the throttle and drive it like that until you fix it! Super smart! :doug

You filed the bar? Please, forgive me, but why were you filing the bar? If the bar is covered in filings you can't expect the throttle to be smooth squire!

Sounds to me like the bar is bent. If you want to straighten it (ish) then get a deep socket with a long extension on the end of it and tweak it until straight. Notice I said TWEAK, I know you and your alternative methods that will no doubt involve suspending the bike from a bridge and dropping a fish tank on the bar end whilst doing a seagull call....... :nana

lol. I filed the last 2 inches of the bar which is close to the starter. now I have a mat finish on the side of the starter switch(too sexy for my bike, it hurts. lol) that helped me to make the throttle non sticky so i could move it 4 more inches and it would return when you twist it. I wiped my bar and used WD-40 on it. Wish I had some Pjur it works good also. lol well I'm kinda broke these days so sorry for my poor GF..... lol

the bar is bent/warped however it's not noticeable at all! it's the last half inch. i just have no idea how to bend it back I'm afraid i will break it with my super human strength. don't under estimate my animal strength(s) sir cuz I break sledge hammers and cutters and sockets and all kinds of chinese or US made tools. lol I like breaking the expensive ones better they kinda sound cute when they snap. lol lol fish tank you made me laugh Cat. thanks lol please help me before i dropped an anvil on the bike off of a local cliff.

okay the wrench trick didn't work for me for reference I fixed/bent the throttle bar with a steel pipe laying down in my garage, it seemed like a furniture pipe with 22/22.5mm inner diameter and 24/5 mm outer diameter. It works almost perfect and you can actually see where the right/throttle bar is bent as you push it in the pipe. make sure the pipe is at least 3 or 4 footlong. It works like a charm and you can actually see where to bend the pipe. I put the throttle back and removed it three times to find the perfect fitting until the throttle returned. it's the spot where the throttle cable case sits on the pipe which was the problem. Please use the pipe trick before filing. For Your Information arrrrr
