Hi lads out on a ride the smorning noticed my throttle is very sticky does anyone know how and wot i use to greese the cables never done it before so any help is much appreciated and cheers Lex top man:thumbup:biggrin

hey brayan sorry i couldnt make it today but the good news is got the missfire sorted you and pat were spot on with the battery conections all sorted now
still need to sort the speedo though .. so who went on the rideooot mate

My throttle was a bit sticky and wasnt returning properly so i took the top off the throttle cam on the clip on and sprayed wd40 down into the cables with the straw in the can nozzle. It worked well and was simple so that might be worth a try

Hi m8 how long would the wd40 last ? and when i take the top off the thing nothings going to jump out and get lost down the fairing or the likes.....

I done it in march and havent needed to do it again but i cant say how long its going to last for you. Unless you drop somthing then nothings giong into your fairing, i was turning the throttle with the top off the cam while spraying wd40 in. Just put a rag underneath the clip on to catch what drips out. I done this cos it was easy, and it worked. if it hadnt i would hve progressed onto less easy ways of fixing it, but fortunately the easy way worked.
Check the outer of the cables for damage or kinks aswell.

you would be better using a light weight oil like 3in1

WD40 is a degreaser so i wouldn't us it.
