As you may know I have a 04 Rsv1000r gen2 and I bloody love it but there's a problem. I have a previous neck break and I also have 2 collapsed disks in my mid lumber. Now the question is should I go fitting a high bar kit and chopping the top fairing of a nice clean 16,000ml bike? I really don't like the idea of doing it to a nice bike and I also think Gen1s look better with the high bar mod. So the other question is should I let her go for a Tuono or a Gen1?

well i think you need to ask yourself how painful it can be on long rides, are you intending to go for long rides on it etc

i would certainly reccomend you arrange a test ride on a tuono before you go chopping stuff ;)

Hi
Agree with Wolf! Just a couple of other things to consider! I have a couple of compressed discs in the lower back and own both an 07 Tuono and an 07 Suzuki SV1000s. I find the Suzuki even though I am leaning forward a lot more comfortable than the Tuono as I am not putting pressure straight down through the spine. The standard suspension on the tuono is not very forgiving either! Also what I have found and my mates when they have ridden the tuono is that the the rear seat presses against your lower back and can be annoying!! Note I am not tall!

Thanks guys for all the advice, there's loads I've not even thought about. Nikfubar and Tifa thanks for the links, Dr_D I've rode the Shiver its nice but it's missing that punch. I can see me chopping her but buying a spare nose cone first. I don't know if I'm going to do long distances but I would like the ability to. Hmmm I think I need a test ride:roll
