hi all

After a few years away from Aprilia, I'm now thinking of getting a Mille, could any one give a info on any known issues with it,, Ive had the RSV R Tuono before, but don't know if that would have the same issues,,

ive been looking at a Haga rep mille..

Hey,
Common gen 1's faults - regulator plug melting (needs plug cut out wires soldered together), sprag clutch doesn't last long if battery isn't in tip top cond. or getting revved as soon as its started , rear brake needs bled every now n then, sidestands are **** but can b replaced with better ones. But nothing else gives same grin factor:thumbup
If you look at haga or an r' model , check the ohlin front forks at bottom underneath pinch bolts for cracks as some easily get over tightened.

Kind of reiterating what has been written above, mines has literally no rear brake at all, but you learn to just use the front one. Mine is also really sensitive on the battery, constantly on optimate but still suffers, although I have a fault with mine from somewhere.

Also, when I got mine I was a little worried about the handling, I never felt like I was getting on with the bike, I then took it to a suspension set up place near Chippenham and now it feels epic, i'd recommend getting the suspension set up for your height/weight.

i know where there is a nice 2002 silver one for sale full akrapovic 2-2 ohlins, and loads of other stuff its on ebay for £ 2450

Does any one know the going price on a 2000 millie with 18000 on it ? ..as im trying to compare it to a 2001 honda cbr 1100 xx with 23000 on it .. ??

U wont pick up anything half decent for much less than 2k. Unless its a bit of a dog.
18000 is pretty low mileage for that age. And if its an r' , could b about 2.5k All depends on condition , history , ect.
