Had my 2014 parked at the dealers today when a delivery truck backed into it...just a nudge and toppled it over. When the salesman yelled out to me that a truck just ran over my bike..I just laughed and said..good one..Then it saw the wheels parallel to the ground and thought...**** ..maybe they dented the frame...write off..new 1100...but alas it hardly marked the bloody thing. Got an assessment for insurance of the superficial damage to on forward to the delivery company, bought a new clutch lever and rode it home. The rear swing arm lifter and handle bar took most of the impact with a few minor scratches on panels and bent gear lever, with the tank unmarked. Have straightened the gear lever and may be able to buff out some of the minor marks. Hopefully, I might make a couple of bucks to spend on bling out of the inconvenience..At least I wasn't sitting on the ferkin' thing at the time...LOL...

Goods to know some bikes can withstand a simple knock over with min damage.

Re. The Ducati clip.
Appreciate it happened quite fast, but I'd like to think I'd have pulled onto right hand side before getting hit... Having said that I guess the rider was expecting the truck driver to see him and stop. Problem is, due to this incident (etc), we now all know that truck drivers can't see riders low down on their left front side... so don't wait for them to see you and stop... or this will happen again. I understand the police decided the truck driver hadn't done anything wrong, and the truck blind spot is the problem. New truck designs are being considered to stop this from potentially happening.

*** hole truck driver..at the second time he put his front wheel on the bike i would have whacked him in the face with something...helmet yeah...

If you do that in the UK you get charged with GBH (grievous bodily harm) as well as having a broken bike!

Besides 'California' is supposed to be the 'friendly' state!!

What I don't get is why he just sat there??? There was plenty of time to just get the hell out of the way. He saw it coming for about seven seconds!
