ever since my teenage days when i used to go mountain biking with a bunch of good lads we were trying to give ourselves a group name for when we did cross country events. So one day we were sat drinking milkshakes in the derbyshire hills throwing names into the open when we came up with The vanilla Gorillas. It's been my nickname really ever since.

Problem is, whenever i link to a site that requires an avatar name vanilla gorilla is too bloody long. So i looked at it objectively and thought mmmmm food and a hairy animal aha spud monkey instead, plus it fits in with the length restrictions.
 
mine's pointer because i've got three of the little english *******s [and thats what keeps me out of trouble over winter months, well that is if you ain't got a game keeper or farmer chaseing you of the land]
as for the RSV **** knows were that bit came from:confused

Mine comes from a local bike club i joined when i moved over the water to wales, and everyone had a nickname, i was growing my hair long again to get dreads done, and was wearing hats 24/7. so my nickname given to me was beanie.

Use it on all the forums i join now as it is easier to keep track of user names and passwords, well, i am blonde..... :biggrin
 
Mine is my first email screen name and I have no imagination:dunno so I just use it for all my screen names.

Mine is self explanatory, plus it would be embarrassing to put my teenage nickname (threepints) oops there we go..
 
Mine was a nickname I got given from a band that recorded in my studio, they gave me that nickname because I had to do so much surgery on their music to get it sounding half decent!
It kinda stuck after that :thumbup

Hell yeah, they were ****, in fact a bunch of kids who thought they were much better than they really were!!

When I was just old enough to start getting into pubs me and a few mates used to go to the local in the village near to where we lived. I don't know why but on the way home the route always took us on a short cut through a church yard, there was a bona fide footpath through the grounds. This particular night on the way home in pitch darkness, in a very messy state and staggering along, I failed to notice a sheet of astro turf covering a newly dug grave and in I went. I knocked myself out cold and all my mates ****** off and left me. I came around at 9:30 the next morning and climbed out covered in mud only to put the ***** up a middle aged couple who where walking their dog along the footpath. It made the local free paper which had the heading "spooky going's on in church yard". My mates, or should I say tw@#s, from that day called me spooky and it's kind of stuck.

I be Phoeno - short for Phoenix. I tend to totally fu** things up, but always manage to come out on top!
Name came from a sound system i used to own back in the days (Black Phoenix), stuck with me as a DJ, then as a producer... Now I can't get rid!

PS - had my first agressive A road run this weekend. Awwwwwwwwsum machine!!! 145 2 up. Thank furq for the double bubble screen! Might try again if my nads ever return south.
