The Side Stand - Definitive

Does anyone have the answer to what works as a replacement side stand on the RSV.

We need 2 answers.

Pre 04 older slower shape
04 onwards faster newer shape.

There is a load of ifs and buts, and maybes and probably's on the forum at the moment but all the users need to know what we can bolt on to the bike and have no failure risk. There is a very high proportion of users that have a bubseywoo stand on their bike at the moment (me included) and I really can't be arsed picking up the pieces when it fails!

So what works?

you beat me to this thread, i was going to ask the same question.
I was just about to buy a K1 GSXR 1000 stand for my 57 but all this about some require mods and some bolt straight on is getting me all confuzzed.:dunno

Am waiting with baited breath.

Yeah I and I have a stand on my bike made of plastacine so I keen to sort this out!

Even though i modified a gsxr stand (lot of fooking about tbh)

I then took a zx9r stand and cut the top off and welded on the Aprilia U braket....works very well but agian you need to fook about a bit

I'm now looking at other stands to see if they will fit straight on without any mods required or minimal amount of mods or welding

What also annoys me is the same bike bought in the USA gets a longer and better stand than we do FFS

will let you know if i come across a stand that works well

Not aware of any stands that goes straight on except US version myself.
all the Gsxr stands i have seen had to be modded.

Whether there is a specific year that differs i don't know but not come across it myself.
