Unfortunately not Alan mate (on the ring anyway) there were 4 bikes down on this lap (2 of them my pals!!) and so the photographers just quit as the track was closed for about 2 hours after this lap ! ! !

But now that you started the ball rolling - Andi, do you have any of you on the actual track? :doug

Yeah guys, they're both fine, bruised and bashed but walking and talking!! It was a car that had dropeed coolant all round the track (caused all 4 bike accidents!!) but as the Police investigate all accidents on the Ring, they found the guy and his insurance is sorting it all!! I'll post a couple of pics of the 2 bikes that crashed (Fido's and Dave's) Dave's, however, can't be replaced as there are none left ! ! ! as it was a brand new "James Toseland Rep" Crossplane crank'd R1 ! ! ! Such a shame as it was absolutely beautiful and FOOKING fast ! !

That R1 looks the mutts nutts Andi....................shame really but as long as daves ok.

How long did the ride take you to get their and how did the Ape fair all the way down there?
 
Yeah bud i know, that R1 is absolutely amazing, if you get a chance on one go for it, it's some machine!! Both boys were fine, Fido's bike is getting replaced like for like but Dav'es waiting to hear whether there are any more "Reps" left on other shores!! Failing that he's getting a "standard" R1 + £'s!!

We did a total of 2100 ish miles, but we were out on the roads all 4 days (really good, quick roads over there!) and a lap of the ring. Total mileage to the hotel, which was about 50km's from the Ring was only about 330 miles (from home to hotel) so not a great deal.

The Mille was awesome the whole trip, all the guys had a go as we swapped bikes regularly throughout the trip, and they were all very complimetery. On the twisties, it was myself, Dave and big Chris (the Ducati 1098 R in the pics) that were up front as the grunt out of the corners was simply unmatchable for the IL4's.................she never missed a beat ! !

Stil looks good against all the newer machines!!!!
