I had a bit of a blast around squires and the back roads yesterday, it felt weird I haven't had a bike for 7 years plus about 5 stone lol, and I forgot how stiff new leathers are, but it's good to be back:thumbup

Oh yes you cant beat it... are you keeping your bike outside :dunno i do and its a must to keep it on optimate , just so your not dissapointed when its time for a blast.... although the warmer weather is coming so you mite be ok :thumbup Me and tuono bob went for a blast monday and its great to have some decent rbiking weather aint it :thumbup

Ya not wrong I'll be the first to admit I'm a fair weather rider. I do keep it outside, are the battery's that bad I had heard they weren't brilliant, how long do they normaly last before they are kaput???

Not sure about the newer shape but like you say quite a few stories of poor batteries and starting prob's .. cant really say how long they last but the optimate sorted my starting prob's out and re generated the battery to its best now. :thumbup

The problem I've got Steve is I'm not that mechanicaly minded and I thought if I have the battery on charge in the house there will be no allarm on the bike?? or do you run your charger outside?

I run my optimate from the small shed ive got right next to the bike... until i get the new workshop built itll have to do for now . Not sure what you mean about there will be no alarm on the bike :confused If you have the quick connect wires for the optimate its just a case of hooking it up via a connector thats perminently connected to the bikes battery so the alarm should still be fine :thumbup

Ok cheers Steve think I understand now, told ya I'm not mechanicaly minded :confused lol

No worries m8.. it was just a thought as like you say you keep it outside but if your bikes starting ok i wouldn't worry too much but mine was showing signs of poor starting so thats why i hooked it up on optimate... SOOOO frustrating when it happens but the remedy is simple sometimes :thumbup

If the weathers good do you fancy a run around the dales on Friday dave??

I would consider that mate depending on the weather, I've been told that I can have a day pass for good behaviour:thumbup:devious

Sympathise with you in having to keep your bike out in all weathers - not ideal eh - oh the lucky souls who have one of them garage thingies :biggrin

Just a thought - it looks like you might have space for one of these:

I'd get one myself but just don't have the room.

Enjoy the bike & the glorious summer we're going to have :biggrin
