thanks for thr fast reply spoonz i have today while doing an oil change checked the two item you said and they seems to be ok .even after running it for about ten minutes the light were on but it was running fine turned the ign off and on again there were no efi light done the test with the lap button and where the temp is the liefi and tri came on and it says 0 i,m baffled

The error codes on the dash are lost if you turn the ignition off so you have to do it whilst it's in the fault state. The error will still be recorded in the ecu but you will need a dealer with an axone or navigator to pull those up.

Could be the oil pressure switch if the warning triangle comes on first and then a delayed efi warning after. The oil pressure switch is a common fault or corrosion on it's connector. Might explain why it cleared after the oil change as you may have nudged it removing the fairing.

ok well when i turn the ign on the clocks go through there thing then there no warning lights when i start the engine they efi and tri both come on at the same time ,where is the oil pressure switch located as i might give it aclean but i,m thinking the the guy had dropped it on it's side unless that is still coming as it may even be the tilt switch but had a look at the tilt switch and when i removed it and gave it a shake it was rattling but as i say the bike runs and purrs and rev up also where are the wires or plug llocated to put in to workshop mode please AS I HAVE BY NOW PULLED ALL MY HAIR OUT OF MY HEAD BUT THERE WASN'T MUCH THERE IN THE BEGINNING

could try and give all the connectors a clean and check for corrosion ... specially the ignition connector ...under the left hand side panel ...... and back of the dash

you really do need to get the error code up to establish what's going on. otherwise, it's all trial and error.
what's it run like?
does it rev out easy enough, or does the limiter kick in? if so, a restriction in revs points to 'limp home mode'..usually an incorrectly installed oil filter, or faulty oil pressure sensor. (providing that the ends/oil pressure isn't fooked)

ps....don't pull too much hair out, or you'll begin to look like your stereotypical ape owner... :)

well guys thanks for the reply the limiter is set at 6 as from factory it revs right up to the top and smooth all the way she runs sweet i;ll try to use some wd40 on all the connectors to see if it make any differance ,i was reading a thread that is you put it in to workshop mode from the connetor what that is i don;t know and run it it will show up the code ,but where is this connector

That's only pre 04 bikes. Your has a different ecu, reading the codes using the left controls is the diagnostic mode.
