rac recovery

Hve you ever had to use 'em though or even worse been abroad with a puncture?? I've heard reports of waiting 4 hours+ not my cup o tea in the middle of nowhere really........and if I got some minimal equip that'll sort it then all the better......

Here's a trick when you take your ' emergency tire ' fix canister from under the seat and there is no pressure in it.........attach to other tire > press button and pressure for ' inflated tire flows into canister and equalizes. Remove and use on flat tire. and repeat until you have sufficient inflation to get you to a service station. ( it only works with the ' bigger type canisters of course )

Don't quote me ln this but if your tyre is totally flat and the bead is inevitibly broken its seal on the rim then you need a blast from an air line or co2 cartridge to 'pop' the tyre out against the rim and form a seal again.....I think?

MMMM not sure 1 of those 16g co2 cartridges would have enough oomph to blast the bead back onto the rim anybody had the misfortunate opportunity to try this??

and the bike wont even roll when ya try to push it
I always have a can of air thingy, worked several times for me.

Gonna get a tubeless puncture kit set wih 4 x 16g co2 cartridges ....the pump will be just for back up mind you it has a guage bilt in aswell so can check tyres pressures regular as mine seem to lose a few psi every couple o days!!
May have to deflate them totally then spray some fairy/water mix round the rims then blow up and down a few times to get them seated properly.....

Absolute lifesaver those.
I usually carry one whist doing the continental thang....

Be aware that the max pressure you will get from a two of those co2 bulbs is about 30psi. three will gain you about another 2-3 psi, but not much more...

Who was it said transfer pressure from the front to the rear etc using those co2 bulbs? Cannot be done. Impossible. Sorry.

Have you tried spitting on the schradder valve to seal if that's sealing ok? If it's not try letting the tyre down and unscrewing the valve stem to check it's clean. If you can't be bothered going that far then you can just try a couple drops of oil down the valve once the pressure is all released, that normally seals them up.
You've probably already checked this but I was feeling in a helpful patronising mood :D

Lol no worries m8 knew this already but it will handy for other peeps out there reading this if they have the same problem thats what the forums for is it not :biggrin

Hey Tifa I think Corsa was meaning mebe a much larger canister as you can get them double the normal size.....although probs a waste of a time really as if your repair canister is without (COMPRESSED) gas or air it ain't gonna do zilcho/nada

Any 1 tried 1 of these in an emergency compared to the small c02 cartidges and rubber strips you fill the hole with?

That will most probably do the trick, but it's a bit big isn't it? By the time you've got that baby jammed under your tail unit, you haven't got much spare room for condoms and stuff have you?
Just a thought like?

that's the ONE ' Tyre Fix ' , 2 threads back with photo......the one I used to transfer pressure from rear tire to front tyre after fitting a ' plug ' in the tread.
