Done a track day at oulton yesterday giving me the chance to test all my new mods- pc3 with custom map, hooked box, full system and a STM slipper
clutch.

My review of each mod:

The clutch- is the best mod I have ever bought for any bike. If you wana go faster then that is the mod to buy IMO. No wheel lock when droping multiple gears even in the wet. Other all the bike is allot more stable but I did notice you do lose a little engine breaking but not to much. Not to sure about its benefits on the road?? The only problem is they are expensive at £600+ but if you can pick one up second hand like i did you wan't beleave how good they are.

Hooked airbox- Sounds great well worth a £100 or so and low down the bike doesn't feel like its being choked.

PC3- better fueling but IMO waste of money for its gain.

Full System(akra)- sounds good but again waste of money as the performance gain is little and am glad I bought it second hand as new is well over priced.

I am no rossi so am sure the pc3s and exhaust systems do have a place for more elite riders as every 0.00001 secs counts when its what puts food on the table.

thought about getting a slipper clutch but as you stated its the price thats off putting.think i might just get my next batch of mods out the way and start saving for an rsv4

I know the rsv2 has one but its a vacuum type and is poo, so I wonder if the v4 has a half decent one in it????

if i was you i would of reworked the suspention over any of those mods and once thats done just open the throttle harder

dont want to sound like a **** but the bikes are quick enouh its just getting your head round riding faster

and i believe that rsv4R dose have a slipper clutch as standard like the rsv4 Factory

the STM slipper and quickshifter are my two most fave mods, even on the road, they are both a total hoot
Ck

I know what your saying but the ohlins are fine as they are in less your are heavy. Plus if your ride it harder you wana throw is down the gears the standard clutch isn't up to the job.

i got on fine when i was racing mine at cadwell got the front reworked by maxton as well as the rear

ive always noticed the rsv's /R's were always lacking something on the front but thats just my view

and the standard ohlins was designed for the road so thats why i say get it re done
