That brown connector

Interestingly, I did try to do the brown connector mod this week, my bike does not have one, nor has it had the mod done to it either.
The three yellow wires go into a plastic filled round connector with two other wires. A mechanic friend who was with me searched high and low for it, we had all the plastics off, the tank up and the airbox off just in case we were missing something!
The bike is an 03 standard Mille, could it be a Euro import or something?:dunno:confused

The infamous failing brown connector is only on post 04 bikes.

earlier bikes have a different setup

if its what connects to the rec then its on the right hand side of the bike rear subframe bolted to
you would need to remove the rear tail plastic to get acess

there is a wiring mod you can do with the early models with regards to charging

my 03 old shape mille has one. Under the tail unit next to the reg/rec

So does mine, but not one under the aircleaner like the later bikes have.
