There most certainly a good looking machine and it's one of them bikes when you sit on it you know it feels right but do some checks first Gaz because a friend of mine bought one from coventry Ducati and it's been in the garage more than it's been on the road.
There's still that certain amount of unreliability there with Ducati's I think if there wasn't that factor I would have had a 996 when I got the mille which ever way you go Gaz best of luck..............

Am i right in thinking, If you get that thing re mapped and cans it'll have traction control not road legal tho due to emission laws but i assume you dont have to get it mot'd for a while just a thought! Back out Racer styleee :bling

.............. mmmmmmmm oh deer oh deer :roll:roll:confused thats not good :no:no:no:eek:mg

Well the test ride has been completed..... started with the 1098s and followed that with the 848....................... are you all sitting down........... the 1098s is in a different catagory compaired to the RSVR...and that is above, not below....

No offense, but I would expect a year old design with 100 more cc's to be better than a 5 year old design:dunno

Life is not a dress rehearsal mate, buy what takes your fancy, the bike is deffo an improvement on the 999 styling wise, i like the styling of the new model, but a Ducati will never be on my shopping list till i stop hearing and seeing them broken down, last year at Rockingham there were two beside me in the pits that were terminal and the following day at Brands there was another one lying in a zillion bits, i could not hack that i'm afraid.

Not in any way trying to put you off mate as you will have done your homework, these are my experiences.

Here's a useful link for ya:devious

Just kidding bud, get it bought:biggrin

If you can afford it mate go for it :thumbup it's a beautiful bike, but it's way out of my budget. I was put off getting a 748 due to high service costs and reliability.

My mille, for me, was the sensible choice and I believe pound for pound they cannot be rivalled for the quality of bike you get for the money you pay for it :dunno It may not be as good as many other bikes out there but for me its the best £2300 I've ever spent :inlove
