Temp / Battery Volt / Fuel light connector/fault (Gen 1)

Folks,

Can anyone advise which connector in headlamp fairing services the following dash gauges:

Temp / Battery Volt / Fuel light connector/fault (Gen 1).

I have an intermittent fault whereby dash temp guage will run high, and flash 'LLL' (low coolant level), and simultaneously low fuel light sometimes comes on. If stationary, and battery voltage is selected, the battery Volts run low (0 to 6v approx). Sounds like it might be a bad earth connection common to these three dash guages (I.e. in right hand LCD panel).

Has anyone seen this before and any advice on best things to check.

NB: On first check, the wiring in right hand side of headlight fairing seems fine. I've disconnected the two main connectors and sprayed with WD40, and reconnected, but problem didn't go away.

Try AF1 fella.

Far more info there with more members/traffic.
You'll get an answer there...guaranteed....or yer money back.

Paul,
Have you checked the charging voltage at the battery, it sounds like the battery is either not receiving sufficient charge, or the battery is not holding charge. I would make this my first item to check.

Gray,
Haven't checked that (yet). Left hand clock (speedo/rev counter) works fine. And I don't have a charge problem when running bike regularly. Battery is new. Had the impression it may be a bad earth or intermittent connector problem. I probably should take fairing off, switch on ignition, and start twiddling wires/connectors until I can make problem come/go, but was hoping to go straight to a known problem or at least a connector if possible. I pinged a post on AF1, and will update, as/when I get round to doing some debug.

As it's auxiliary clocks it does prevent me riding, although I like to see temp guage, and being a fussy git, like everything to be working... and as they used to say of my old maritime home city "ship shape and Bristol fashion". :)
