Tax Disc????

Call me picky but when you have a bike that has flowing lines and curves the last thing you want to do is stick a great big tax disc holder on it.

How do you guys display your road tax for the local boys in blue???

I have tried sticking mine in about 10 different places and to be honest it looks crap in all of them.

Help and or ideas will be appreciated.

The solution is - keep the tax disc in your wallet. Any plod that's going to bust you for not having it properly displayed is going to bust you anyway. The excuses are a) they get wet b) they get stolen c) I just got it and I forgot to put it on the bike. Adjust according to plod - not that I've ever had to! :pirate
 
I had same issues, mines ended up on the left rear passenger hanger too
 
just off the foot peg hanger. I have got a carbon one but i took it off and put a more discreet one one. After all I don't want to bling my tax:dunno
 
Front Caliper

Aprilia spent all that dosh on research and reducing the unsprung weight with fancy wheels then you bung it back on in the form of a tax disk holder. :nana

Only joking.

Exhaust hanger for me.
 
I used to display my tax disc on my R6 until some pikey git decided he wanted it more than I did and pinched it, so after that I stuck it in my wallet which I carried on me at all times.

Never had a problem with 'failing to display' afterwards as either the rozzers who stopped me had already PNC'd the bike or they were happy with my tale of having a previous disc pinched thus keeping it in my wallet.

But the price is almost a full tank of fuel and personally I think I would rather have the fuel.

Been out to the bike at 6.00am this morning and tried the tax disc holder in all places again, settled for the exhaust hanger for now.

Let's hope I win the lotto this weekend so I can afford one of those snazzy CNC machined tax disc holders.
 
my standard one completely vanished, i suspect around the same time as one of the mudgaurd bolts vanished aswell, though in all honesty it probably got lost in the refuse site i refer to as my garage

have since got a CNC one from halfords and stuck it in the same place, just above the front left calliper using the mudgaurd bolt, its nice and hidden when steering lock is on :thumbup
 
Mine Is mounted on the underside of the rear seat above the hugger ..Its hidden ,keeps the looks and If pc plod take issue a little bend down and look up officer there you are..:biggrin:biggrin:nana
 
I got mine stolen of my Busa in May, Informed Plod who said keep it on you or under the seat, He said if a traffic warden clocks it they call the Police they PNC/DVLA the Bike and if its taxed they dont give a toss.

Minor Minor Offence and just say you have had so many pinched Etc... It cost £7.00 to Get it replaced even though it was stolen

Stupidly, If the Whole Bike Goes and you get it back Without the Disk its Free WTF ?
