Hello again,

i need to remove the tank as the stage of the stripping the rsv mille to have the frame straightened.
Can you please tell me if i disconnect the 2 pipes in the picture is this the correct way? The top bolt
looks like the main supply and the lower pipe with the white connector might be a breather pipe?

time to buy a haynes manual !

all advice in the meantime much appreciated :)

cheers

andy

look like i cant upload a pic.. which is the simplest way to disconnect the tank from the bike?

There will be 1 quick release connector on the fuel line, the braded hose is easier to disconnect from the throttle body, the 2 thin black pipes just un clip from the tank. Hope that helps.

ps i have read that the breather pipes inside the tank tend to rot after a while.. am i best off replacing those while i have the whole tank off and drained?

if your frames that bent , I wont be repairable , look for cracks around the welds for the air tubes and ovalising of the steerer bearing mounts , I made a coffee table out of mine
a replacement frames only a couple of hundred quid from ebay
