Does it make any difference having a taller screen or is it best just to stick to the standard one on a gen 2?

got a puig on mine, is marginally better but not by a lot ! It is easier to duck behind when on the tank and on the gas !!!

I could not tell you about the taller sceens on a tuono but I have experience of taller screens on a benelli tnt

First thing to find out is where the windblast hits you. eg in the chest or neck

A taller screen will move this up, how much would be by basically how high the screen is

The tnt wind blast hit me in the chest and it was a constant blast and at motorway speeds [cough] this got tiring and sore on the arms

Fitting a taller screen made the blast turbulent and it hit me in the neck

At motorway speeds this made the helmet noisy and the neck gets colder and sore with the turbulence

The same screen for the wife made the blast go over her visor as the standard screen hit her in the neck before and slighlty more turbulent air but she likes that better

Two other things to note are I never felt windblast a problem while on the twisties as im concentrating more i suppose and The direction of the wind makes a big difference to what blast you get.

I dont know if any of the above answers your question but hopefully it helps you decide what you want from a screen

B1, whit height are you? I'm a bit of a short *** at 5' 10" and it does make life a bit easier.

I've noticed that my puig has a couple of cracks in it, they're at the sides of the screen and you need to look hard to see them.

I'm sure someone posted the same prob on the old forum!

In my case it might jist be the amount of midge that strike it on an evening run?

A decent lid and a jacket without Dynasty style shoulders would be a good investment for the T. The Ermax is about the only one that makes any difference imho as its a bit wider but none are that good really.
My Aria Condor seems to be the best for m/ways.

I am only about 5'-9" so the Ermax works for me.
Shoe X-Spirit 2 is the best for me.

Every time I get to 70 my shoieeeee whistles. Its like a friggin alarm.

For me i love my arai, only the cheapest one a condor but it still fits me so well, the shoei are im sure great lids but pushed against my forehead.

I think there is a lot of truth to the opinion that you either have a Shoei shaped head or an Arai one. I cant get on with Aria's they are either too small and give me a headache or too loose and I get lift.

Put a puig on mine, and does help with.wind blast, am 5 9 and helped when i did a 130 mile round trip on the m25 for 2 months, it wasn't night and day difference but saved the neck muscles, if you scoop forward a little it's even better. I too have the small cracks around the bolt holes, not too impressed with the puig, but can't get hold of an ermax! Don't use it now, only for expected long motorway journeys.

ok, thanks all. It sounds like it doesnt make much difference. I am 6ft 1.
Yep,I'm also 6ft 1.I fitted the Puig to my T but have recently gone back to standard. As you guessed it does'nt make much differance. They are also a bit on the ugly side, imho.

six feet 1 and Puig screen. Awe it did wiz shift the blast up tae mah heid rather than the chest. As Nob rightly says mah Shoei is noisy as **** aswell cos o it. If ah wiznae so lazy ah wid probably hae changed it back tae the standard wan.

I fitted a taller genuine Aprilia screen and it makes nae feckin difrence what so ******* ever

ah reckon wir all agreed then, changin screens is pish but satisfies oor druggy T need tae aye be changin things... an any thing taller tae be effective wid just nae look right fur the bike anyroads.. ah widnae be able tae tell if it wiz a T or a TDM then

I got the Aprilia taller screen only so I could fit my EZ-Pass there, but haven't gotten a chance to ride yet what with being snowed in here in NYC for over a month.
