My first post on the forum so the virtual bar is open.

I've currently got a KTM 950 SM which I love and won't ever part with but I have got a hankering for a sportsbike after having done a couple of days on track. I am, however, 6'4" tall and make Mr McGuiness look emaciated.

I'm looking at 98-03 RSV Mille R's. The reviews are good, they are the right price and allegedly they fit a taller rider.

Are there any other tall and 'well built' owners out there and have they made any mod's e.g. uprated springs to account for their size.

Within the model years are there any particular step changes in specification?

I am 6'3" and 17 stone. I find the RSV very comfortable and mine is stock in terms of rear sets etc.

I had a 916 before and it truly was the bike that I hated to love, it was so cramped it was unbelievable.

The RSV has a lot better riding position for me but I still struggle to get right down under the screen when I am caning it
 
Don't know about the feet and stone stuff.... I am 1.90meter weigh 100kg.

Fitted an AP adjustable rearset and an Ohlins rear shock, for me it's the dog's bollocks:thumbup
 
6ft 3 and its fine with standard rear sets but you will not get under the screen and 17 stone too its fine get one ...

You are two centimetres taller than me and about 8Kg lighter so you wil be fine
