got my local shop to look at my non-working indicators while it was in getting tyres.

The indicators were initially not working so he took the switch gear apart and sprayed with contact cleaner, then they were staying on until he replaced the flash relay, they then worked for a bit intermittently but have now stopped.

He said it looked like the switch may come out of the switch gear to allow for replacing but didn't want to try prying it out for fear of breaking the switch gear and leaving me in the ****.

Guess the question is, first, can i take the switch gear apart and replace just the indicator switch part.
If not does the switch gear from the RSV fit, if so which year as i have seen a few on Evilbay but was hoping to get away with less than £40.

Cheers

AFAIK they are not available as parts, but almost any Aprilia 1000 switchgear will fit.

Ring a local breakers yard - or ask on a few forums someone is bound to be converting theirs to a track bike.

you're gonna hate this...but here goes...

do you get regular fogging in your clocks? and if so, does it clear pronto?

if the answers are yes & no (in that order) then there is a fair chance that moisture is condensing on the rear of the pcb causing it to flash over...

it plays **** with the indicators. my r/h one wouldn't cancel....and I had all sorts of **** happening.

You are a man possesed Tifa lad ;-]

I bought my bike from a pikey who lived in a caravan.....things started to go wrong after I told his missus she could shove her lucky heather up her arse....:yes

hi Tifa, no fogging as yet, not that i have noticed any way. Got a lead on a new left switch so will try that and go from there.
