A friend of mine has just got him self a RSV 05 track bike (4k on the clock) which has never been on the road- always been a track bike. Standard engine, pc3, renegade and full system. Over the winter he is getting it ready for next season. Over the weekend he stripped it down and couldn't beleave the condition the engine was in- not much wear at all and this is its first refresh. He might not even refresh it now. Anyone on here race one? How often do you refresh?

why refresh :confused..is it smoking, bearings rumbling.:dunno.think these rotax's are stronger than certain Jap IL4's but some of them do rev a whole lot higher..

No idea:confused, i just think he wanted to see what these engines are all about as its his first v twin. My old gsxr k1 was spot on for me, I just kept changing the oil and it didn't let me down and now my brother has it. It must of done 50+ track days with no problems. I don't get the point in tuning engines to have fun so I would always go for a standard engine plus if it went bang I woludn't no what to so with a tuned one.

make you right..filters ,exhaust etc all ok...big bore kits etc taking the engine apart always leads to more expense
