suspension setup for a 21 stoner

My Factory had a Kais sticker on the rear shock when I got it and to be honest the set up was bloody awful!

Front far to hard and rear to soft... But wether the previous owner had fiddled with it I don't know.

I re-set it to the track setting in the owners manual and tinkered with it from there and nearly got it sorted now but it has taken a while!

21 stone, poor bike. Can you wheelie it in 3rd?
Joking aside, jack up the rear preload a bit at a time and see how it goes, the back will take most of the strain.

why set up suspension when you should be out looking for a boat because its the only thing of any use this summer :banghead
wondering if i can part ex the T for a conservatory then at least i can sit in it when it rains again :bawling

Have you tried measuring your sag (I mean the bike's sag of course, not yours) I'd do this first with all other settings as standard, then try it. I don't know how much sag there's meant to be, but I expect someone on here will come up with a figure.

Get it set up by someone who knows what they are doin, it's worth the small outlay.
Also if you ain't lucky enough to be on an ohlins rear and on the standard shock change it.
The oem shock is dreadful, read the threads!
I personally changed mine for a rsv unit that I amazingly got for £28 on eBay!
Being a 20 stoner myself I found the original shock harsh, the wife hated it on the back, she got off it the first ride with the replacement shock on with a big grin and couldn't believe it was the same bike.....
