Suspension Settings

Hello,
Just picked up a new black 2013 Tuono about 10 days ago. Love it so far.:thumbup I was able to head out to some twisties this weekend and put about 320 miles on it. Getting close to the first oil change. I know I need to wait until it is broken in but I was wondering if anyone could share what suspension settings they are using. I myself weigh around 200 US lbs (no idea what that is in Stones!) and would love to have a starting point for suspension setup.

Thanks!

Depends how the bike feels at the mo. Is the handling ok? Do you bounce out of the seat when you go over a match stick?
Don't piss about with it for the sake of it, you probably will **** it up totally.

You could unwind it all, write down how much by and put it back.
Then you'll know your base settings and can always revert to them.....no harm done!

I'm 12 stone and had to soften the rear shock up a bit as, despite popular belief, I'm not one for getting my arse slapped about all day. Stock settings were too stiff for me, but then they have been on my previous 3 bikes. Think they set them up for fat fellas.

Ive dropped the forks through the yokes 1 more ring , 1 more turn of preload and 1 click of compression on the shock so far , but everyone is different in weight / riding style etc
i say make a note of all the settings and just have a twiddle with the adjusters , suspension can make such a difference and its worth doing ,, thats why they put all the adjustment on the suspension !!!!!!

I had 100% suspension set mine up at Donington on a track day.....The difference was immense.

Well worth the money!

When I had my Street Triple R I had the suspension dialed in perfectly. I started with pre-load, rebound, and compression settings from another forum member who weighed about the same. I was hoping someone here would have the same info. I know my T's shock pre-load needs to be adjusted as the back seems to squat when pushed hard in the corners.

Here are good links to explain preload and sag:

Which Gen Tuono is it...mine is 2004 Gen 1 and I'll happily share my settings with you, my shock is a 10 year old sach's one though.

The give away was in the first post and the fact he posted in the correct section ie v4 tuono, sorry if that sounds harsh but starting to find it irritating when people post info thats not relevent to the subject matter.

Never looked at the top bit and now sees it says V4!

Fortunately, i'm not easily offended and I understand that there are riders on here who are much more in touch with there feminine/moaning side
