suspension settings for 10.5 stone

Hi all

new to here , decided to get suspension dialled into my weight , any advice not done it before , i have the 2002 rsv mille and I'm 10.5 stone , can i do it all by the preload rebound comp , or do i need stuff changed internally ?

I would say go factory standard go through all the set up ie close everything and the open the correct amount of clicks (you have a manual I assume) most bike are geared for 10-12 stone on factory settings if you slightly lighter of these don't suit then you can back them off a bit! I'm 14.5 15 so I wind mine up about20% works ok on the mile and has done on most other bikes, just trail and error

The forks and shock on the mille aren't (that I know of) weak so shouldn't need up rating

If the bikes a bit leggy might be worth changing the fork oil anyway though
