I havn't seen anything in a while but have Aprillia done anything about the possible dodgy link plates on the 04 up rsvrs?

Funny (not really) you should mention that, i've just got back from a dealer who has had a Factory in with a broken rear linkage.
Sounds like a serious problem to me and i would be changing them ASAP.
Badger on here changed his if you do a search :thumbup

I asked about this at my dealer..He said he'd not heard about the problem..Since I read it on here I keep looking at mine, and so far they look ok..16,000 miles now..06 plate but an 05 model..

I replaced mine on my 04 factory with ones from AF1. Nice and meaty! Also made up some nylon washers to keep the dog centered between the plates as the dog wants to sit to one side and rub on the plates.

The reason your not hearing updates is because Aprilia are currently being sued by parties directly affected by link failures.

No one involved is allowed to talk about it in any kind of public way. Do Aprilia know there is a problem "Yes". Where it goes from here maybe depends on the outcome of the legal action.

The sueing parties are pretty confident it will stick but you never know.
