Surging On The Overun

I recently purchased a 2000 RSV with a standard can on it. I then purchased an RSV Evo TI can which came with a 2001 model chip.

I opened the ECU to find it had a Renegade chip fitted, so left that in, knowing the motor should be safe with that. It was then I noticed when shutting the throttle, the revs would drop, then go up for an instant, like it was surging. Not much admittedly, but noticeable, and it cocks my braking up a little. Would this be the chip, as it didn't do it with the standard can fitted? Or do I need to adjust the trimming?

My plan was to go to the dyno and try the chips against each other to work out which fuels better for everyday riding. Unfortunately I was called away overseas for work, and have been ill upon my return, and am only about 70% fit now. And I have a trackday at Cadwell on Tuesday!

I'll have the 2001 chip off ya if you want rid of it ;)

As soon as I have had all combinations of pipes and chips on the dyno, and if the 2001 chip does not fuel as well as the other chips, I'll let you know! Trackday first though!
