Live in North Lincs area and always up for ride outs, and often go to Cadwell May to September, was getting fed up of being whooped on the straights by IL4's and then slowing me down for corners, My Superduke was an awesome bit of kit, hopefully the extra ponies of the Tuono will be greatly received, picking up the Tuono Monday if all goes to plan.

Not really planning on spending much on it but appears the rear shock may not be up to much?? Im about 15 stone with all my gear on.

If you fancy some fun, the Superduke boys (about 10 hardcore track guys) are meeting at Cadwell in August for our annual two dayer, so battle royale (and usually a few crashes) in the fast group!

Hope to get some good info from here.

Do Tuonos crash well by the way??

better tell yer bank manager tae brace hissel an git yer overdraft sorted oot if ye bin it D min....

Bonny bikes by the way

The T is a cracking bike, pal of mine has the SD, and in top gear roll on's there's buga all between them

Welcome m8 you will love the T but I would think for the track work you do a new shock would be in order

But maybe coming aff the pie's before a trackday may help also, loose two stone and you may catch those fours [experience talking lol] :thumbup

Plenty of crash protection will be required and R&G do two sets for the T

Some of us have booked in at cadwell on the 18th march

hi Dan, from what ive read the sd is a better track tool than the T, never ridden one myself so i dont know but would love to know your opinion on it once youve tracked your T. By the way, ditch the rear shock if its a stock one, they are **** ( thats why i got a factory )

Awesome looking SD mate

Looks like you'll definitely be needing a new shock! If you get an ohlins you might want a heavier spring (there's a very nice one in the for sale section......)

PS there's a bunch of us and other aprilia riders doing cadwell on the 18th March, check out the thread, the more the merrier

Cheers for the heads up on Cadwell, may do a lastminute.com booking but cannot commit right now, hope this rear shock is up to the task....

06 plate with 07 tank, 15k miles, pretty much returned to stock, but lots of work done, 4k on the nose.

On another note, does the tuono come with a slipper clutch? read something about some anti hop device but not sure if its actually a slipper?

not a slipper clutch, dunno the details, some o the gurus on here will put you right though !!

Yes they have a sipper clutch, starts every night about 8.
Seriously they do have one though Aprilia call it some fancy name these days.

WTF's a sipper clutch??

The T's have what Aprilia call a pneumatic power clutch which is meant to be a simpler version of a slipper clutch, working the same way.

Never noticed it working on my Gen 2, but then again I don't tend to downchange at very high revs.
