Suitable track can advice.

I've got bored (and skint) from doing car track days, so have decided to track the T.
Had my first outing at Snett on the 8th, but had to fit the standard dustbin sized monstrosity to pass the noise test ( it did not work well with the Gabro chip and was very much down on power!). Vid of the day...

Snet - YouTube

Anything over 120 and the bike was choked to death with the OE can.
So, looking for some advice on a decent end can that will work well with the chip.
Akra is out of the question due to price, but the Mivv has quite taken my fancy and they are within budget...

EXHAUST MIVV APRILIA TUONO Fighter 1000 2004 04 2005 05 OVAL CARBON | eBay

Hi Jonty
I have just got one of these:
TERMINALE SCARICO MIVV INOX RSV MILLE 1000 98/03 TUONO - A001LX1 | eBay

seller is Mauro998
its not carbon - only a titanium copy (Inox - whatever that is) but its only 165 quid. Not fitted it yet as its only just arrived but quality looks good for the money. Just send a note as soon as you buy it to say you want the Tuono version (LX3) .

Sorry - I should have said:

THUNDER ITEM CODE: A.003.LX1

The picture in his ad shows the older style badge on the can - the can I received had the newer style red badge.

Thanks for that Dave, can you post up a piccy of it fitted to your T please? and also how loud it is.

Hi Jonty
I put the Mivv on this morning. Only took about 15 mins to switch from standard to the Mivv (and I am pretty hopeless at mechanical stuff)..... it was dead easy and straight forward.... the Mivv sounds deeper and a bit louder than standard but definitely well within the acceptable range.... I managed to go for a quick blast before the rain got too heavy and I have to say I am really impressed.... I will try and put some pics up tomorrow. For £165 quid I think its a bargain.

Hi I'm also interested in a mivv can. Did u remove the baffle? Iv heard you have to drill out a rivet to do this? Just wondered how loud they are without baffle cheers- paul

Spare Aprilia Ti Racing can sat here that needs a new home......................perfect with the Gabro chip.

Passed noise test at Cadwell no problem ;-)

A couple of minor marks but barely noticeable when fitted. Mounting strap included but missing the rubber strapthat goes between it and the can.

£100 including delivery if anyone's interested

Jon

Thanks for your input Aldo, it's very much appreciated :thumbup

Guessing I have upset some (one) of the regular posters on here so I will piss off and mind my own business. 6 posts in and I am being ripped to ****. If anyone wonders why this forum is a ghost town then this thread might be a clue ?

Sorry guys - have I missed an "in-joke" ?

No in-joke Dave, I was being sarcastic to Aldo's ******** post. Every forum has someone who clutters up threads with crap, and that person just happens to be him.
Anyhoo, any chance of a piccy of your can fitted?

like Ash said Aldo gave you the info that the can was stainless steel but if you feel like that **** off

Come on, play nice.

Summer is almost upon us, light nights are here & we can all go out & play with our toys - instead of chucking them out of the pram.

Big breath, shake hands & move on.
