Hi all, just put my rsv through its mot and all was sweet, she sailed through. The only thing the mechanic said was that the clutch fluid was low so I topped it up, now she starts and runs fine on idle but as soon as I put it in gear she cuts out slowly????? any ideas????help, I just wanna ride.

Have you filled the the resovoir to full and is the seal inside out in it?

It should be about 2/3rds full. not at maximum

Does it cut out with the side stand up??

its about half way between min and max with the rubber cup and seal in, how can you tell if the seal is nside out? I only lifted it out to top it up and put it back in as it came out. think I mighht have a go at bleeding it. it dosnt cut out with the side stand up or down so might look at that to. Its really annoying as it is a lovly day here and I want to go for a ride

It sounds like its dragging (the clutch) how often have you used it ? mine did this when I strated it after the winter lay off a couple of times but its ok now :D

Its been stood all winter, have been running her each week but not running through the gears. Its bizzar as I rode it all the way to the Mot station and only started playing up when i topped the resovior up? I have now bled the clutch and it feels much better, it is now going into gear and still running but 1 in 5 she still stalls? Think your right Eeza, clutch must be dragging.

Put it on a paddaock stand, and see how much the rear wheels spins in first.

It should turn and then put the back brake on and release and it should very slowly turn.
