Strange Noise

Picked up my new T the other day.....great machine I love it, just a quick question, when I roll off the throttle there is a rather strange sort of metalic janggle sound, it does not do it on every roll off, sometimes when I change down and then again as I let the clutch out it happens again.....so has anyone got any ideas. The bike has done now 300 miles has Arrow slip ons with baffles out running map two, it seems to run lovely pulls like a train etc etc all is well except for this noise on roll off...The stange janggle only lasts for about 2 to 3 seconds then disappears ....so has anyone else experienced this, is it normal or is there something amiss ? :dunno
 
TBH I've never heard anything from my bike along the lines of what you are describing. The V990 engine is a noisy bugger though, making all sorts of noises which can be worrying if you've previously owned a quiet Jap IL4 for instance.

I always wear ear plugs and with my cored cans fitted it's doubtful I would hear anything anyway:lol

Personally I'd go back to the dealer just to be sure though

Good advice methinks.

Shvlheadwolf described the V990 as 'a bagful of spanners' - very apt
 
Yes thanks guys, I have mentioned it to my dealer, I think I will do the other 300 miles then get the first service done and get the mechanic to ride it and see what he thinks. If it goes pop in the mean time then I will know there was something wrong. Maybe I am being a little paranoid as its a new bike, but you can hear the jangle over and above the unbaffled arrow cans ! I have a gut feeling that somthing is loose, however maybe not in the engine itself, just do not know at the moment.... I keep you posted on the progress. I am off to Italy on the T with a few mates in October so I want it to be running spot on. One has a T and the other a Superduke all running without baffles, its going to sound great. :crazy
 
It may have something to do with the Tuono's version of the slipper clutch. Best get it sorted before your trip.
 
3000 miles on the clock now after trip to Italy....great trip, bike now sounds like a bucket of spanners being stirred with a length of scafold poll, but runs and pulls great, so I just assume this is the noise this one makes ! I now wear high density ear plugs, seems to do the trick!
 
Mine also makes similar noises, but runs fine. Its just the engine mate. Its a bit like a skeleton having a **** in a dustbin.
 
grin factor....ha ha that has got to be the best description yet of the Tuonos engine noise !
