On a day to day basis, where do you lads and lasses keep stuff. such as water proofs, puncture repair kits. the RSVR has much less under seat room than my ZX9R.

Do you mean on the bike ? All I have is the aprilia toolkit, and a bunch of cable ties and some insulation tape in the seat hump...waterproofs are for girls :biggrin

If I'm not wearing the textile jkt , I usually have a bum bag with little odds and sods...spare ear plugs, camera, phone, wallet in coz my leathers are tight fitting and keeping stuff in the pockets is a little uncomfy :thumbup

textiles for commuting so i dont need to carry water proffs, everything else just goes in my bag.

If im riding long distance with leathers then i normaly just take a bag. My R35 backpack disapears once its on my back, cant feel it at all and dosnt stop you moving around at all. Then again for £90 id expect it to be good!

:confused:confused

Mobile phone fits in pocket or under the seat, as does a £5 note what more do you want :dunno:dunno

house keys, wallet, sun glasses, phone all fit in the rear hump what else would you need:confused and they also all survive a high speed crash :pirate speaking from experience :biggrin

I keep my onepiece waterproofs in the rear seat hump, puncture repair kit goes in the rear tail section. Mobile and wallet go inside my leathers in the inner pocket. I also wear a small bumbag for my marlboro's, lighter and odd change. If i need to carry anything else i use my Kriega R20 or humpback panniers :thumbup

thanks for the replies lads, know what you mean about tight leathers and not getting much in the pockets, the wife says I've put on weight, i reckon my leathers have shrunk. will spend some time to see what i can get in the hump, and may go the bumbag route

I carry weighty stuff in my baglux, which has just fallen to bits after five years of use.... A-Z in the top, phone, wallet, laptop, tools, climbing gear (15-20kgs)
I have a cargo net for soft stuff on the pillion, but an RSV is not really designed for this eh.. No hooks!
With all that weight over the front tho, I can take off from the lights quicker than anything else...ever.:nana

As for punc reapair kit.... I have never carried one. Has any one?

Similar to above.....phone, few pennies & debit card in jacket pocket, visor wipe in seat hump compartment, tyre weld ( you never know) & disc lock under seat....anything more then it's gonna be the car!

I was under the impression that skin is waterproof, therefore no need for a binliner with velcro sleeves.:pirate

card, phone, bit of loose change and Marlboro lights in pocket,, think there is a tool kit under the seat?:confused
Generally have a visor pouch on too with either a clear or amber in for good measure.

Yeah its a well know fact that leathers shink with time, at least thats what I keep telling everyone :devious
I think it is something to do with the leather feed that you give them that causes them to shrink :pirate

I think there's something to invent here like a product that makes leather stretch mine have shrunk that much they now need stretching

Petrol must be frikkin cheap up your way mate:confused

I just stick money and moby in me leathers. If I am riding to work I take a rucksack and shove in my uniform and some waterproofs in case its rainy at home time:eatcorn

Emergency funds only, also the management won't let me out with any more cash, says that shes worried that I might bring home another bike. :sigh

Could be right if she let me out with the credit card. Supermoto here we come :devious:thumbup

Could lead to divorce if I did, but at least I would go with a smile

I just have the mrs follow me in the car.In my dreams. I'm trying everything,in the leathers to tight, behind the seat OK. I had a back pack on the other day to pick up a bike stand after I had my front wheel buckle and disc carries repaired. Could'nt take the stand,I really was going to try but the guys wife did not speak english and did'nt know what I was on about, just lucky I guess.Anyway the back pack disappeared and was really comfortable. It supprised me, somebody should design a thingamigig that just clips in like the pillion seat.

they do mate(sort of-not a direct seat replacment)...but... have a look at Kreiga.com, the best back packs and tail packs in the business.I happily(and most of my mates) used a kreiga rucksack over 1800 miles in europe last years-no back ache whatsoever
cheers Ck

Yep like said I’ve got a kriega R35 can fit a weeks worth of cloths in there. Or a spare lid and other stuff. When I rode back from the bike show I had new boots, gloves, few other bits and was plenty of room left in there not to mention that once on my back it really is light as anything I had no idea its there. So much better than a normal backpack.

Its also fully water proof (they say its not but I’ve been riding in are recent very heavy rain and it hasn’t leaked), And you get a 10 year guarantee agents it falling apart. 100% worth the extra money!
