Heard through the grapevine today that Stoner will sit out most of 2009 MotoGP as his Scaphoid has ongoing problems.

I worship Rossi but i don't want to watch him cruising round 10 seconds ahead of everyone else at every race.

We won't really know how true this is until the season starts. I reckon Stoner will still have a go until the docs tells him to stop.
Remember the start of last year though? Jorge was doing so well - I reckon he has a real point to prove this year. Equal bike etc. it shouldn't take him too long to get to grips with the tyres.
Also, how will the the new rules impact on Ducati - launch control, toned down electronic suspension etc? Gibernau was struggling with the array of electronic aids, maybe this will level the playing field for the likes of him and Nicky. Mind you, neither of them are a match for Vale.
My money's on Jorge to be an exciting challenger - but not for the title.
