Stomp grip

Has anyone fitted stomp grip pads to their bike ? Do they work, are they any good, how much did they cost and anything else I may have forgot to ask :cool3

Got them on mine but came with the bike but can lean off easier and use to grip if braking hard sted of using the wrists to take the strain..

Where did you find one fo 98-00 model?

I know i can just cut some other one, but if its avaliable :)

Yes they work well. Had them on my gixer and made it easier to grip your outside leg on the corners. Cost between £25-30. Not sure if they do them for the early Mille but they sell a universal pair of pads that can be made to fit almost any bike. Beware - the adhesive is very sticky. If you apply them wrong then they're a bugger to take off. You can use a hairdryer to soften the glue for adjustment.

I'm gettin sick off smackin the family jewles on the tank, ouch ! Do the grips wear out your leathers ??

Speedstyle i think sell em (back of squires) but when i looked they didnt have em in stock for an rsv....... try their t'interweb site:thumbup

Got them on my track bike, and they work great. I got mine from demon tweeks. They do mark up the leathers, but not too bad. I have done maybe 20 track days with them on now, and my leathers are ok. Very good for hanging off the bike and keeping your outside leg locked into the tank.

There are alternatives. Tech grip is an american brand that has a less aggressive pattern on it- similar price to Stompgrip. I also know someone, funnily enough he has an Aprilia, who used surfboard grip and cut it to fit. I prefer stomp as it looks nicest and hasn't ruined my leathers on previous bikes. The first time I noticed that I needed something to help my grip was when I changed from my Fazer which had a baglux on it. All of a sudden I couldn't grip very well unless I had my textiles on which have a rubber coating on the inside leg. On the aprilia I'm going to go the baglux route again as the plastic tank means I sort of have to!!

I fit stomp grip to all my bikes. For proper control of your bike i reckon they're essential. Did a track day recently where i'd just fitted a new tank cover and hadn't fitted any stompgrip. Braking and cornering was a complete shambles. never again.

Just bought some from flea bay £34.99 search for APRILIA-RSV-MILLE-1998-2003-STOMPGRIP-TRACTION-PADS.:eatcorn

Matt, I just put stomps on my baby and I love em. I researched previous threads first and saw that a couple of guys had had problems with the addhesive. Then when I put mine on guess what, the f__kers didn't stick. Bad Batch, money refunded, peeld the glue off and stuck em on with black sikaflex. Now their like the black stomp pads which I should have bought in the first place and best of all FREE. You definitely have more control braking ,cornering etc. You'll love em!:pirate Though look around ,there are also some grips that are called snake skins which have a good following. Steve.

Thanks for all your input lads. I fitted a set last week and they are fookin fantasic, loads more control and great to grip whilst braking.
