So, I had my 2016 Rsv4rf stolen. I still have the key. It was just recovered, and the ignition switch is destroyed. They were able to steal it, and drive it away, use it in a drive by shooting, and ended up ditching it to run from the cops on foot. Now that I have it home, I try the screwdriver turning on the ignition switch, and it won’t start. The display was also damaged so I can’t see any messages. No neutral lights or anything are coming on. How did the steal it without disabling the immobilizer, and why now, will it not start for me?? I even tried shoving the key in what used to be the ignition switch.
