Was just about to have a run out today and thought I would see how far off stock suspension settings the previous owner had run the bike on.

Looked in the Haynes manual for rear compression setting and it says between 35-45 clicks out - problem is my shock only has around 35 clicks max :confused does this mean the manual is off or do I have a non standard shock :confused

Also where is the rebound adjuster? Was looking for it when it started to snow :coocoo

Does anyone have recommended settings for front and rear?

I would say put everything back to stock. Not sure if the standard Sachs shock is the same one for 2000 bike or 2002 bikes so i won't give you the settings from my 2002 Aprilia owners manual. Someone will have a 2000 model owners manual to get the correct settings.

This link is useful as there's a 2000 workshop manual which may have std suspenion settings in

Thanks LEGS,

Downloaded the manual and it pretty much echoes what the Haynes manual says, that it should have 45 clicks, so even more confused now :confused but at least I've found the rebound adjuster :)

The shock looks stock but definately only has 30 odd clicks :dunno
