Hi
I am still having problems with the indicastors. Talked to a friend about it (he is an electrician) he said it might be the stator. When i am riding along and the revs are above 5000 rpm the indicatos work....sort of...could it be the stator and wich one should i get?

Can't see how a stator effects your indicators.....if the bike starts ok then the battery is healthy and charging ok so the stator and rectifier would be fine....to be sure get a multimeter , lift the seat and check the battery voltage with the engine at idle....13.5 or so is ok....rev the engine to over 4k and it should be at 14.2 - 14.4.

Are the indicators stock or aftermarket....check the indicator relay...could be corroded or faulty.....also make sure the earthing of them is 100%

What sort of indicators? Tach, speedo, all multifunction? Backlighting as well? IF the battery voltage if good, I suspect a loose or corroded connection to the instruments, ground, indication or power. I've no idea what you already looked at as this appears to be an ongoing problem, but I agree with genman.

When new, some of these spade-type electrical terminals are a bit loose in their connection. Over time, they could loosen even more due to vibration or arcing. Vibration, you should see grey dust at the terminal. Arcing is obvious but unexpected as this sounds like a low voltage connection problem, (going out on a limb!). There is an excellent interactive wiring diagram available here, as well as other possibly helpful manuals:

Best of luck. Cheers!
