Hi, new to this forum. Thought i''d join and see how it goes. Bought an 02 (matt black) mille R last year. Been tinkering a little (airbox, exhaust, derestricting etc. Only thing i dont like about bike is the stickers. Has anyone any experience with removing them. Just thinking of removing the nose and seat graphics.
appreciate any help,
cheers

Hairdryer and patience usually does the trick.

Check first that they arent laquered though.

Yea Ive an 02 Matt Black which was heavily stickered. Destickered it with hairdryer, only thing is, when you get close you can still see where every decal once was.

MAKE sure you warm the decals and soften the glue brfore you try to remove them.

I think the nose cone decals are cleared.... :(

And yet you can see where the sticker was - paint faints on open, but underneath the sticker it keeps the color.

Was thinking hairdryer, but just a bit scared (had also read where some pulled alot of paint off too). And just to double check, i am talking about removing the original aprillia white and red graphics (not afermarkets ones).
and thanks for advise.
cheers

Hair dryer is OK.

The Diablo Black is difficult light vise. The paint underneath the sticker has not fainted during the years so it is more likely darker than the area not covered with a sticker.

Mate I replaced most if not all of my Standard Decals and they came off no problem but I did use a hairdryer on High and they come of real easy. The belly Pan ones were the most gratifying as they were all stone chipped.

Easy does it and don’t go daft and you will have no trouble at all.
