That looks like the standard 50 amp type one , get onto to Tash or Griff and get a nice 150amp one.

What ever rating it is get a new one anyway they are not that expensive & cheaper than a new sprag. I had to replace my "replacement" solenoid last year as it was sticking ON (that was interesting ) so they don't last for ever anyway.

I have the same question, but the photo has been taken down. I just got a 2000 Mille, and the solenoid has no markings on it at all. Bought one on ebay (aftermarket Yamaha 4KB-81940-00-00) and it also has no markings, so I'm wondering if I have the higher amp one or not, i.e., should I change it, or just keep the new one under the seat as a spare. Does the stock one have markings on it?

Second question - if I had a nickel for every reference to "Sprag" on this list... I'm in Ummerikuh and don't speak much English, so do people mean the clutch or the starter motor, or is the word used interchangeably for either?
Thanks (er, 'ta...)

I bought a new genuine one from Griff, and it now starts much quicker - the engine seems to turn over faster on the starter. Not sure why the photo has vanished - i havent removed it.
